The local management agency installed flashing LED lights in Lake Mill Park, which will drive away the geese that "rest" in the park at night. In 1999, the "goose plague" also caused a serious aviation incident in the United States. An Airbus A320 flew into a flock of geese, causing both of the plane's engines to become paralyzed, and the plane crashed directly into the Hudson River in New York State.
